Re: "Show Clipping" Options
If the only way we can agree to make Show Clipping and metering trigger on the same number of clipped samples is to make the meter trigger on 1 clipped sample, I suggest we do that. I don't think it will make many recordings seem clipped when you can't hear the clipping. It may have that effect for ...

Re: Improved seeking
Also, the patch fails at the right selection boundary. It moves the cursor to a new position between right selection edge and end of the track/project. If nothing is selected, the cursor will be newly at the right edge or a bit before it. Try it on a Chirp or something. You refer to the seeking wit...
Re: sync-lock
Steve, this is a very useful set of tips. Is it worth working it up into a tutorial for the Manual? If so, I can do the groundwork on that starting with this as the basis. Thanks, Peter. It depends how much detail we want, but I would either see it as a FAQ or a FAQ pointing to a tutorial. Gale

2) To make tracks as small as possible vertically, use "View > Collapse all tracks" It isn't exactly the same thing, but there is also an option in Tracks Preferences "Automatically fit tracks vertically zoomed". It could save the amount of work you have to do reducing track hei...

I assume you are on Vista or later - you didn't say. This is documented at http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Windo ... ent_record and of course at http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... ndows.html.

Re: Raw import-export
Question. Using audacity 2.0.6 on Windows 7 Pro, installed from .exe installer. I do a raw import on some PCM audio data (16-bit signed 8 kHz), then immediately re-export in same format (raw). The resultant file is substantially the same but does not exactly match the original, almost all samples d...

Re: background hum on voice track (s)
Moved to the correct Mac OS X board. I have just upgraded Audacity on my Mac after having to get a new hard drive. I am also using a brand new logitech headset. I am hearing a disruptive hummm in the background of my voice track. It is not present on my background music track. How in the world can I...

Re: Realise a plugin
On Windows the modules must be in a "modules" folder inside the directory where Audacity is.

Re: Audacity doesn't recover the last project after crash
pantallaAudacity.png Thank you but the problem was not having any button. And It wasn't possible to close the window. But now it's solved. I've deleted the AutoSave file and I can run Audacity normally. I've attached the the only window I got before deleting the AutoSave file. That's broken. And &q...

Re: Audacity won't read my recordings anymore.
So earlier I was recording for something, when I finished it and saved it, it did so. What really freaked me out was when I closed Audacity, it crashed. If you are using an obsolete 1.2 version of Audacity on Vista Service Pack 1 or later, this could be quite likely. Get the current Audacity 2.0.6 ...
