Re: Trying to install drum plug in, help!
Please read the pink panel at the top of this page - it always helps to give us that information. Audio Selection Sequencer 2 is here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plugins#Audio_Selection_Sequencer_2 . Installation instructions for Nyquist plugins are here: http://wiki.audacityte...

Re: Writing ID3 tags to Microsoft WAVE files
I've noticed that Audacity is able to write only a limited set of metadata tags to WAV files, no custom fields allowed. The availabile tags are: TITLE, ARTIST, YEAR, COMMENT. I've performed the same experiment with AIFF and I noticed it has ID3 tags in it, with all tags I wrote present in it includ...

Re: NoiseRemoval.cpp
But at last today I put up a patch at the developers' board containing many of my ideas for fixes and improvements. No attempt at spectral subtraction. Now I need to figure out how to make Gale happy with a plan for bug tracking and testing. I appreciate your work on it. :) I have not used Audacity...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
"Label (noun) Clipping" could be something to do with auto truncation of existing labels. In the Analyze Menu? :o ;) Well I would not make that mistake, but others might. (and what does "Regular Interval Labels" have to do with analysis? :? ... which is a reason that others migh...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
I'm confused by this - there is only one clipping indicator. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/meter_toolbar.html#annotated . I think you are talking about Maximum Peak, which is blue (despite that colour has no meaning in a gradient meter). No – I'm confused! Someplace along the line the ne...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
In the Analyze Menu? What could "Label Clipping" in the Analyze menu mean other than "Label(verb) Clipping"? "Label(noun) Clipping" makes no more sense in the Analyze menu than "Clipping" interpreted as an effect in the Analyze menu. I don't see that either m...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
Koz won't get configurable Show Clipping That may be misleading. I think you'll have to lobby for it. I'm not convinced, only about meter customisation. Differentiating clipping lines (without letting them be configurable) does have some benefit. It could save user having to zoom in to look more cl...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
There is a minor problem with the shorter version in that "Label" could be interpreted as a noun. Why not just "Clipping..."? "Clipping" could be interpreted as an effect. In the Analyze Menu? I think it is a reasonable suggestion to drop the "Find" word. Is ...

Re: Are there fixes for Yosemite in 2.0.7 alpha?
When I close one file, it's already been autosaving as an .aup session to my external hard drive. I export as a .wav, then close the file. Please tell us exactly you "close the file". Is it File > Close (which closes the project) or something else? It seems you save a project before start...

Re: Assistance with hiss diagnosis
And just checking, when I set the mic level in Windows, I see that the mic level within Audacity goes up/down correspondingly. So, when I set the mic level in Windows at 0, then open Audacity, it shows the mic level at 0 there too. If I keep both open and move the mic level up and down in Windows, ...
