If you can't work it out, you can always export as WAV or AIFF and convert to MP3 in iTunes: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... conversion.

It would also help to describe your machine and operating system. Your other post http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 47&t=82095 is in the Mac board.

Re: External Mic
for Audacity to work with this mic the setting must be External Mic. The External Mic must be available and not showing errors. It does not have to be default Windows recording device but you must select it in Audacity's Device Toolbar . The internal mic became Windows default recording device beca...
Re: CRASH!
The moral of the story is, if you install LAME (why...) you must also install FFmpeg import/export. Otherwise you will get the errors noted in my initial post. Installing FFmpeg will remove the FFmpeg "errors" from the Log but won't affect your freeze/crash. If you are not 1Man, you must ...

Re: Multi-track recording
My new Zoom H6 can record up to 6 tracks. I probably won't need to record six tracks but I will probably record four tracks (the regular stereo microphones that come with it and two more microphones.) Am I correct in assuming that Audacity can only handle two tracks? How many channels are offered i...

Re: Help- Trouble loading FFmpeg library
I had the same error start without warning on both of my machines running Audacity 2.0.6. It is not really an error. If you only import and export standard WAV files for example, you should not need FFmpeg. But the FFmpeg messages are useful if you install FFmpeg and Audacity has problems loading i...

Re: reset Preferences CFG file
Consider if user has a problem that they can't launch Audacity until they do a complete reset of .cfg The likely outcome is that Audacity 2.0.7 then launches and that's the end of the story. Yes but that isn't how users think, much of the time. How often do we see it on this very Forum "It did...

Re: reset Preferences CFG file
I err to considering that at least backward compatibility is important. It has nothing to do with backward compatibility. Ensuring that old preferences don't break the new version is about backward compatibility. Ensuring that old projects can be opened in the new version is backward compatibility....

Re: reset Preferences CFG file
So I don't understand why you say that resetting Preferences would not reset the toolbars. Because if you read the Proposal one if the original (and still existing ideas) is to implement Preferences reset through Edit>Preferences with each pane having a Reset button (which could wither reset the Pr...
