Re: Need help finding "butterworth"
I have Audacity 2.1.0 and I'm trying to find a specific filter, that I was able to find in Cool Edit Pro 2.1. In Cool Edit Pro, I went to Effects->Filters->Scientific Filters. If someone could help me find the 3 things that I have circled below, I would appreciate it: Audacity 2.1.0 is an old versi...

I have tried reducing the burning speed down to 8x and it appears to burn and told successfull but there is absolutely nothing on the disc. Re: Latency Rate Changes Each Time I Record! Help!
This is an old thread but it was in the top 3 hits on google when I searched for "audacity latency changes every time" so I guess this is still problem and thought I would post what I found in the hopes it helps someone else. I am using windows 10 on a wimpy machine and like the OP I shut...

Re: Audio jack in windows 10 machine doesn't work
To be fair, the Anniversary Edition of Windows 10 lets you left-click the speaker icon then choose the playback device from a dropdown menu.Gale Not on my Windows 10 system with all currently available updates. Not with the Realtek integrated audio that I have. This is what I am talking about: Quic...

Re: Audacity recorded music at super high speed!
Thank you - I actually already read this before and it didn't address my specific problem. Maybe I didn't describe it very well. The recording, which was supposed to be over several minutes, was contracted to a file that plays over a few seconds only at super high speed! It does address your proble...

Re: Playback skipping ahead
It skips around-- there are no missing pieces. My computer is a MacOS Sierra version 10.12.3. I used Audacity 2.1.2 and a Blue Yeti mic, which uses a USB to connect to the computer. I think Koz had this problem just once a few years ago. Does it happen every single time for you? If all recordings a...

Re: Audio jack in windows 10 machine doesn't work
The audio jack works fine, but in Audacity, I plug in my headphones, but the sound still goes through the speakers. I've searched for a solution, not finding one How do I solve this so that when I listen to audacity, I can listen through my headphones? If when you plug in the headphones you hear so...

Re: Why is WinXP better at running Audacity than Xubuntu?
Why is WinXP better at running Audacity than Xubuntu? In my experience it isn't. I've run Audacity in XP and Linux on the same hardware and the performance is on the whole very similar. It probably depends on how primitive the hardware is. When I had XP with Ubuntu 13.04 (I think) on my 1 GB RAM 1 ...

Re: UAO156 will not connect to PC
I have checked for all disabled and disconnected devices. The only ones listed under 'sound' are high-definition microphone, line in, stereo mix and USB microphone (default). No USB device. USB cassette players and turntables are usually called "microphones" by Windows. Try disconnecting ...
