@Ed, do you think it easy to create the resetPrefs file in the current location of the external app in Windows, and within the app's bundle on Mac? If so, this seems the most viable working solution to me.

Re: reset Preferences CFG file
I assume Steve tested it on Linux? No, I've not tested it. $ patch -p 0 < resetPrefs2.patch […] 1 out of 3 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file src/AudacityApp.cpp.rej I suspect this is a stale patch; I see three potential solutions: 1) patch by hand - shouldn't be TOO difficult 2) check out the ...

Re: Which Interface: MME, Windows DirectSound or WASAPI?
I posted a *very* detailed report to -quality some time back - you said you had not seen that after I posted yesterday asking in WDM-KS would be in 2.1.0 - so I then re-sent that to -quality. Have you still not seen that? You said your report was "recent", but it was not in the front page...

Re: Equalization settings seem to change
Do the tracks sound as if they have the correct EQ before you export them?
What format are you exporting them to? MP3 is lossy and disposes of higher frequencies. Use WAV if you want the file to sound as it was in the Audacity track.

Re: Any Plans for a 64-bit Build?
I believe Audacity builds on Linux are 64-bit if built on a 64-bit system. The first prerequisite for a 64-bit Mac build of Audacity would probably be to drop support for OS X 10.4 and 10.5. 64-bit Audacity builds raise the question of 32-bit VST plug-ins, which don't usually work in 64-bit hosts wi...

Re: Problem with Audacity file metadata
I use Windows 8.1 64bit and Audacity 2.0.6, both in English. That may be your problem if the application in your screenshot does not support Unicode. If you set system locale in Windows to Greek, non-Unicode apps may then display Greek correctly. Setting system locale to Greek should not cause Auda...

Re: Equilization settings seem to change
I have 9 songs that need their own eqing but I am finding that when I eq a song, save it and move on to a new song with a new eq setting it will change the setting of the last song when I bring it back up. I know this sounds confusing but if anyone has experienced this and could lend a hand it woul...

Feel free to use it when needed. If you get any more crashes it would be helpful if you could post another crash report in a new topic.mgutierres wrote:Suggestion noted! I kinda like snap-to when I'm making labels, but I can do without just fine.Unless you want Snap To on, I would leave it off.
