Re: Metadata Editor
Ok....that's good (that the latest version will open projects created in earlier versions).... I just downloaded the 2.1.2 version, but when I attempt to open it (from Finder) nothing happens. I tried closing the 2.0.3 version, and then tried opening 2.1.2 (again from Finder), and still nothing. Wh...

Re: Can I have a stereo track from one microphone?
What are you recording? What is the show? In other words, if you are just recording the one mic, put it in the left input and try setting Audacity to 1 recording channel (mono) in Device Toolbar . Then, as long as the recording doesn't turn out at half volume, you don't need workarounds afterwards ...

Re: Can I have a stereo track from one microphone?
If you set Audacity to record in mono, you can use the L....R pan slider to left of the blue waves to pan the track in the stereo field. When you export or Tracks > Mix and Render, you'll see the result is a stereo track and the playback meter will show one channel louder than the other. Even if you...

Re: Rescan Audio Devices causes a crash
If you have a bug to report, you do it here or by writing to our feedback address . We can't open Audacity Bugzilla to the general public because we don't have the resources to manage the 95% non-bugs/already fixed bugs that would be reported (most of our users are on Windows, and there are a lot of...

Re: Quick Help and Manual won't open from menu or splash scr
I am giving an old WIndows XP laptop (a 2005-vintage Dell D610!) a new lease on life as a companion for my new Audio-Technica LP-120-USB turntable. I've run into a couple of minor issues so far. (The first was that the installation CD supplied by Audio-Technica was unreadable on the quaint old D610...

Re: Easier way to jump between a track and its label track?
ALT + scroll wheel to move track focus up and down isn't a terrible idea, but I think it would not be easy to just move focus one track up and down if you had multiple audio and label tracks. Unless you were careful with the scroll wheel you would be moving focus too far.

If WASAPI loopback errors then you can try stereo mix instead. Reading these links may help: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Windows_7_OS#sample_rates (it applies to Windows 10 just the same). WASAPI loopback m...

Re: Low volume on one channel.
When recording a stereo LP I am getting very low volume on the left track. The input level for the left track shows a lower level than the right, the red bar is much lower. ITunes plays all other LP's ok. Is there a way to boost the level to the left track when recording. Not in Audacity. Occasiona...

If you really want a Band Stop in one step, you can try http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyqui ... top_Filter. See how to install a Nyquist plug-in.
