Re: panning a mono file with chains?
I can't test it right now since I use 2.0.7 alpha and the system.lsp file (which is needed for file import/export) is still not available on Windows. Can you explain what that problem is (in a new topic), Robert? The precompiled 2.1.0-alpha builds for Windows now include system.lsp, so do I take it...

Re: Need Help w/ Corrupt Audio with Yosemite and Audacity 2.
You didn't say what sound device you are playing to or recording from. If it's an external USB or Firewire device and 48000 Hz makes it behave, open /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup and set the input and output to a 48000 Hz choice. Open Audacity > Preferences..., Quality section and make 48...

Re: Recording album at max but no clips
I would suggest though trying Audacity's latest click removal provided by Paul L (not available when I was converting my LPs) - see this thread: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=79278&hilit=click I think you will need to use the alpha test version of Audacity for this unti...

Re: Auto labelling - possible?
to keep things simpler we could always just numerically autolabel with each use of Ctrl+M or Tracks>Add label at playback position - provided the user can edit those labels while recording/playing (as they can now) then they can overtype the number if they don't want it. We could, but that would re...

Re: Auto labelling - possible?
I suggested a toggle in Tracks Menu because if we wanted that would allow autolabel to work with Add Label At Selection as well as Add Label At Playback Position, and only costs one binding or menu item. With the toggle on, CTRL + M or CTRL + B do autolabel. I would imagine there are use cases to a...

Re: [2.0.4] - Is there a way to splt a large wav file into..
find the 1st gap in the audio after a "5 minuet interval".. then after 5 mins, look for a new gap to add as the second track.. etc etc. That's a feature request for Sound Finder or Silence Finder. Does the attached Sound Finder help that has a "Minimum Label length (minutes)" co...

Re: Audacity Already Running Error [SOLVED]
I have fixed it! I uninstalled audacity and manually went in and made sure every file was gone. This included the config files that you guys pointed out. I then restarted and didn't use audacity for about a week. I just downloaded it and it worked completely! Maybe it just needed to get completely ...

Nyquist plugins can't do that yet.MarcusAurelius wrote:I kinda wish that it would remember my settings though like other plugins such as normalize, compressor, and equalizer.

Re: Recovering .au files without a .aup file
Sorry the file is just zeros (perhaps due to the crash). There is a small chance that the folder that has the AUTOSAVE file could contain a file with TMP extension that would be valid content. Each AUTOSAVE file starts life as a TMP file that is deleted when the AUTOSAVE is written correctly. Otherw...

Re: Inconsistent behavior when moving multiple selected clip
Given you selected over multiple clips is there anything you mention not covered by "many other permuations" in http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=501?
