Re: Auto labelling - possible?
Can you make a normal unified diff patch against a standard tree? TortoiseSVN won't use what you posted and I guess it will save testers' time if it is a standard patch.

Re: Bad quality capturing sound
Recently I migrated from Windows XP to Windows 8.1 64 bit on new hardware. On my new environment the sound I caputure from streaming audio is of very bad quality. It is lustreless, not as bright as the original sound. I use the on board sound card (Realtek with High Definition Audio Codecs software...

Re: Confused by "Chains" usage procedure
BTW, the above-linked help page highlights the importance of adding the ExportMP3 command much better than the HD-based help I initially looked at does (helpmanualmanchains_for_batch_processing_and_effects_automation.html). Sorry I looked, but I can't agree. There are two illustrations and an examp...

Re: how to get different parts of recordings in a new record
In Audacity it is is not clear how I can select parts of interviews http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_selection.html . You may want to use the commands in the Edit Menu to cut or copy a selection then paste it in a new Audacity track. If you need to create a new track, use the Tracks Me...

Re: An inconsistency in multitool
I think the distinction is justified. Fit in Window still gives you room to click after the end of the track. Zoom to Selection does not, without scrolling horizontally.Paul L wrote:So I should ask what's the rationale for the small difference between ctrl-f and ctrl-a ctrl-e.

Re: An inconsistency in multitool
It omits mention of unshifted drag on the grips. OK I mentioned that. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Multi-Tool . I also mentioned that you need to have audio fully under the drag bar to drag from the bar. That seems not strictly true but if audio is not fully under the bar, the drag does not w...

Re: have .aup file but no data file can i play convert or fi
The AUP file would need to be in the same folder as the _data folder is in. Did you move the AUP file before the drive went up in flames or are you looking for the correct _data folder?
