Meantime the Skorko app at the end of the topic I mentioned seems to work fine if you have signed 16-bit text values (that is -32768 to 32767 where 0 is silence).

Re: Program crashed, can't recover audio files
Was there a dialogue about project inconsistencies when you recovered the project? If so, did you look at the log as it suggested? Is the window with the failed recovery still open? If you closed that window normally and said either Yes or No to saving changes then the audio is either saved as silen...

Re: Recording with a Lexicon IO42
What is your version of Windows and version of Audacity per the pink panel at the top of the page? Please see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Multichannel_Recording . You may need to compile Audacity with ASIO support to get multi-channel recording. Is there a "multi" device in Device To...

Re: Changing Audacity background colour?
If you can find a theme online such as at http://jcsu.jesus.cam.ac.uk/~hdc21/design/audacity/ or possibly on this Forum, you can enable the theme in the audacity.cfg settings file and it will work without the need to compile Audacity. See the Jesus College URL for how to do that.

Re: monitor/recording freezes immediately
It's probably a USB transmission or buffering problem. Plug the HRT into an empty USB port. Do not plug it into a USB hub attached to the port. Restart the computer. If the issue persists, open Edit > Preferences..., look in the Recording section and make sure Audio to buffer is at 100 milliseconds ...

Re: Audio track doesn't occupy full space available?
It looks like you enabled Envelope Tool and dragged the amplitude down. If so, Edit > Undo Envelope. If you have just opened the project and it's like that, F2 to enable Envelope Tool, look for the envelope points (white dots) and drag the points out of the track to remove the envelope. If necessary...

Re: Cannot open recorded session

Re: Can I cut a section from a .m4a file?
mp3directCut can do limited editing to MP3 and AAC (M4A) files without decompressing them. It can't make a crossfade, but it can cut, paste, and change the volume. MP3DirectCut has some limitations with M4A and AAC. M4A files must be extracted to raw AAC . MP3DirectCut can't adjust volume of AAC fi...

Re: Joining Tracks
She told me where to find the link i needed -not how to find stuff that's screwed up, or not there! You posted a link to http://www.wikihow.com/Combine-Songs-on-Your-Computer-Using-Audacity . I assumed you found that easier to follow than our FAQ and were following that tutorial. So, till the next ...
