Re: Spectrum analysis
I've had a look at the code for this new feature, and it may be a bug due to an unexpected automatic localization of the numbers that are passed from Audacity to Nyquist. The Audacity code passes the values of the frequency selection to Nyquist, which can then be used by Nyquist plugins. Nyquist re...

Re: Clicking black "split line" auto-merges. Turn off?
Although I really preferred TAB and SHIFT + TAB to go to the next/previous clip boundary respectively, there are good things in this idea that give analogous behaviour for audio and label tracks, so I'm fine to support it (though I do think menu items should be considered for Edit > Move Cursor > To...

Re: Clicking black "split line" auto-merges. Turn off?
I don't think that we can work with the tab key as an alternative. Firstly, each combination needs shift for a backwards motion since we have only one key instead of left/right. Secondly, Ctrl+Tab (import audio) and Ctrl+Shift+Tab (create split) are already assigned (they are doubling conventional ...

Re: Recording Problem With Sound Blaster Audigy FX card
Someone posted an almost identical question to you to our feedback address, but sent from another address. [email protected] is not for support questions, but I'll repost my answer in case you are the same person asking for help. I suggest installing (or reinstalling) the proper drivers for your particular ...

Re: Making a song go back to a specific time
Thanks, looking for another way, since leaving my mouse at the audacity window is iffy at times and moves around a lot. I'd like to be able to navigate away from audacity and when I go back, the setup button will push back the audio to that specific time for quickness. The Transport shortcuts are l...

Re: Joining Tracks
I am a newbe and have just come across this Topic. may I hijack it for a second. I figured out that just a 'cut and paste' would join the tracks. Can you tell me, will all the tracks added, just show one title, To add one other brief reply, if the tracks are files that have metadata like artist and...

Re: Spectrum analysis
Try this: 1) Open Audacity 2) Generate 30 seconds of "white noise" 3) Change the track to the Spectrogram view (the track is selected) 4) Make a spectral selection from about 4 kHz to about 6 kHz 5) Apply the "Spectral edit multi tool" 6) Open "Analyze > Plot Spectrum"...

Re: Не записывается звук
The switch inputs audio recording, I have no dynamics. There is a microphone, line input and another useless nonsense. Then you will need to choose the Windows WASAPI host in Audacity Device Toolbar, as I already said. To change the level of WASAPI recording, play the song in your computer louder o...

Re: Audacity works different on 2nd PC
As I said, if you use WASAPI, you can only affect the input level by changing the output level of the song you are playing. Have you followed http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#vistacp to see if the M-Audio has an input source you can enable for recording playback? You may be abl...
