Re: Static over playback
Hi, Gale — Ah, I thought my previous report was a different but related problem. I was able to use Audacity 2.0.6 to export my podcast without the static heard in the YouTube video above. -Ken OK, thanks. Please let us know if you encounter any more problems with playback or export in the upcoming ...

Re: Static over playback
Hi Ken, You actually reported the issue before and it was one of your projects you kindly posted that helped us find the playback problem. ;) Can you please double-check in 2.1.0-alpha that the exported files are OK? In your previous project you managed to save the distortion in the exported file so...

Re: Audacity stopped working
Please note, Audacity 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 do not officially support Yosemite. Make sure in Force Quit that Audacity isn't running. Open Finder, Go > Go to Folder and type: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/ Open audacity.cfg in TextEdit. Select all the text and delete it. Then type the following at...

If you would still find horizontal lines on the waveform useful, feel free to reply and we'll make a note of it.

Re: Audacity not working with Headphones
In 2.0.6 the WASAPI host only allows recording of computer playback (that is what the "(loopback)" input means). To record your headsets, switch to MME or Windows DirectSound host and select the headset input. If either of your headsets are USB headsets, you can't record computer playback ...

Re: Possible to boost bass on turntable input?
Hi, all. First post. Got a Jensen JTA-230 USB turntable recently and have tried to rip some songs from vinyl via Audacity (current version for Windows on a Win 7 laptop). Ripping process goes well and I've figured out how to adjust input level via Windows. However, the resulting MP3 recordings are ...

Re: Problems batch converting stereo to mono
Then I guess there is something you are doing wrong. Look for the "cleaned" folder in the folder where you selected the songs to process. I just said the cleaned folder was present but empty. Yes but you may not be looking for the correct "cleaned" folder, so I wanted to be sure...

Re: ERROR in Plot Spectrum?
I just did it on a section of track that had audio imported from WAV file That'll be it. If the track was a stereo track (which I'm guessing it was), then generating a full-scale sine tone will produce two identical sine tones, one in each channel. The spectrum, analysis shows the sum of all select...

Re: combining tracks to export entire file
If you want to record at the end of an existing track, just click somewhere in its blue waves then hold SHIFT down on your computer keyboard then click the Record button, or hold SHIFT and press R on your keyboard. If you want to export the complete album as one file from tracks that are above each ...

Re: ERROR in Plot Spectrum?
Ohhh, the only difference is that I just did it on a section of track that had audio imported from WAV file, drag selected a roughly 10 second selection and created the beep - then did the analyze on that same selection. Now when I just tried it on a new file, new Audacity session, I got the same (...
