How can I "export selection as mp3" on all tracks?
I just got my 8 input m-audio card working with Audacity, and recorded my new band's practise last night. It doesn't sound bad at all... and I want to do some "quick and dirty" mix/exports as MP3s for each song. So... looking at the waveform, I would select a song... start playing it and make some c...

Stopping/Starting recording without creating new tracks
I'm using an M-Audio Delta 1010LT card which gives me 8 inputs. I'm using it to multi-track record our band practice. My plan in general is to record the whole evening, then split it up into songs later. After the first song, I want to stop and see how it sounds. How can I then start recording again...

Re: Can't see M-Audio Delta 1010LT
Thanks so much... Cool tunes btw. I've got a 5/6 person band -- just starting up, drums, 2 guitars, harmonica/percussion, bass, vocals. For now... we're just going to record practices for our own listening... eventually we'd like to record something a little more. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Tha...

Re: Can't find Audio I/O tab in Prefernces
To the right of all the tabs, are "left" and "right" arrow keys.
There are too many tabs to fit in the window at once, so you have to scroll left using the "left" arrow key. "Audio I/O" is two tabs to the left of "File Formats"

Re: Converting from vrf
vrf is a proprietary format used by Ventrillo. Only Ventrillo can play them. You can play them with Ventrillo, and record them with Audicity by choosing "Microsoft Sound Mapper - Input" as your Recording device, if you have Audicity and Ventrillo on the same machine. I quick google search also found...

Re: Can't see M-Audio Delta 1010LT
ok... I've got my machine hooked up in my jam/practice room. I've got three MXL990 condenser mics and an MXL992 pencil condenser into a behringer 1202 mixer, mixed down to 2 channels. That's coming into inputs 3 & 4 on the card, and everything works great recording in two channel. I still can't sele...

Re: very low input level
If you have a tape deck around, you could try looping the tape out of your preamp thru the deck, set the deck up to record, but leave "pause" engaged, and then take the tape deck output into your sound card line-in. The recording level of most tapes decks are usually active, and this can be used to ...

Re: Can't see M-Audio Delta 1010LT
Cool... thanks.
I can always "choose" more than 2 channels, no matter what Device I select... it just gives me an error when I try and record.
I haven't actually hooked an actual source up to the inputs yet to know if things are really working. I'll do that later today.

Re: Can't see M-Audio Delta 1010LT
I see all those choices. However, even when choosing the "multi", I get the error message I mentioned above when selecting more than 2 inputs. I'll be interested in knowing your experiences with the new driver. I've had the card for close to 2 years, but just got around to building a new workstation...

Re: Can't see M-Audio Delta 1010LT
ok... another update. I'm able to get *some* functionality I'm not sure what I did to fix things. I fulled around the the m-audio interface... but didn't change anything. Anyway, the dropdown box is still greyed out, but if in preferences I select 2 channels, I can record a stereo track. If I choose...
