Re: Splitting Projects
OK... so this is strange. I had a partial band session tonight - with a couple of players missing - trying out a new female vocalist. My setting is for 8 inputs, so 8 tracks were recorded... only 5 of which were used. We played 3 takes of a song, and I saved the project - There were 1760 data/audio ...

Re: Wave out not available on Mixer Bar
Check and see what your Audio Device settings are in Preferences on the Audio I/O tab. (edit menu, or Ctl-P)

Re: why i don't have any available/listed input devices?
If you're talking about the dropdown menu... please read the announcement at the top of the Windows forum. In Vista, you need to select your device on the preferences tab. If you're talking about no devices showing up on the preferences tab, I would make sure you have the latest Vista drivers for yo...

Re: saving track pan settings.
Hmmm... as the aup files are just xml... I'm considering writing a script that will change the "wavetrack" records so that for example
name="Bass" and
pan="0.600000"
Any words of warning? comments?

saving track pan settings.
I'm recording 7 tracks simultaneously, and usually have the same setup (what instrument is on what track etc.) I like to do a quick & dirty mix/export to hear what we've played. I've got pan (L/R) settings on each track that I do again and again. Is there anyway to save these settings, or automate r...

Re: Splitting Projects
When I do a "Save As" to a new project... does it only include the underlying audiofiles assocated with the trimmed selection, or would it save all the original audio files each time?

Re: Sound Cards
Can't you use that for playback, or are you looking for another soundcard for another computer? Yes... the 1010LT is on a computer in my practice/jam room... which is not the most convienient/comfortable place to sit down for a long period of editing. I want to set up my main PC to edit/mix project...

Re: Sound Cards
I've got an M-Audio 1010LT card which I use for recording. However, the computer I built for this purpose is my my jam/practice room, which is not the most comfortable place to work long term for signficant editing/mixing etc. I plan on buying a pair of near field monitors , and using them with my m...

Splitting Projects
I record my band's practice sessions, usually just to do a quick and dirty mix & export as MP3 for distribution to band members so we can hear how we're playing. I usually record a small "sets" worth of data... perhaps 40 to 60 mins, containing 4 or 5 songs (with tons of idle chit/chat between) It w...
