Audacity Forum

i just downloaded audacity..imported my beat and hit record and for some reason all i get is the audio my mic pics up from the room..i dont get any sound ..but when i just play the beat by itself i can hear it clearly ..can any one help me with this ?...i thought maybe it was the version i was using...
