The reason I upgraded was in my original post. The G5 chip had a known bug when Apple sold it. That bug caused a spike across all tracks. I became irritated and decided on a different OS. Now I see that I should have read these forums before doing that. $150 down the drain. I need to find an OS that...

I believe I this thread comes closest to my current problem and the replies to the original poster have caused some confusion for me.
