Hey thanks for the input. No USB turnatable here. I am using turntable hooked up to my main audio system. It is traditional turnatable (RCA style jacks) to pre amp, then amplifier.

Running Windows XP HE. Experiencing intermittent distortion/inteference/ and garbled sound during playback.
