Audacity Forum

I have a phones/output port and i do have a line-in port on my PC. Do you know which type of cable I would need to connect the 2? Would it be a basic guitar cable that runs from the guitar to an amp?

I have a Yamaha YPT-230 keyboard amd am currently connected to my pc via the midi in and out from the keyboard to a usb port on my pc. When I try to record in Audacity, i get no waves and the playback is silent. I'm wondering if I have thie set up wrong? Should I connect from the output from the key...
