Just out of curiosity, when did this become true? I have Audacity 1.2.6 on a PowerBook G4 running 10.3.9 (Panther), and it "works" fine when I try to record stuff coming through my sound card (just like WinXP). However, I'm having the same "problem" as everyone else on my MacBook Pro running Leopard...
