Re: Background static won't go
I suspect that your sound card is the problem, but it would be good to eliminate the possibility of the microphone / pre amp combination first. Do you have any way of testing it? could you for example do a test recording with it on some other equipment? I used this combination on three different co...

Background static won't go
Hi everybody, I've been using Audacity for about a year now, usually pretty happy with the results I got when recording voice, guitar or whistle. There was always quite some background static but I thought there wasn't really something I could do to remedy that. However, some time ago a friend of mi...

Re: Audio Tracks ceasing to continue recording
the input should work like you say, putting a microphone in front of an amp sometimes causes unwanted sound but clearly with you that's not the problem. Maybe in some way the input volume was set to zero, whether you did it yourself by accident or the program did it for you because of some bug? I ca...

Can't import .MIDI files
Hi there, I'm having problems importing .MIDI files into Audacity. I create the .MIDI files using Power Tab Editor, they seem all fine to me, I can play them with every mediaplayer I got on this pc. Importing them into Audacity works but when I try to actually play them Audacity says "Error while op...
