Re: Classic Reverb in 1.3 (Beta)
Is there a substantive difference in reverbs or is it mostly a matter of settings and application?

Re: Jitter and Lag Problem
Thanks for the tip. I've been considering Ubuntu and now I think I'll get it on my do list and see if I can do a transition over time. Btw, can you tell me what my tracks should look like in Audacity? If I'm creating multiple tracks within a project should each individual track be recorded at a leve...

Re: Jitter and Lag Problem
P.S. I'm reluctant to get another comp at the moment. I have a vista machine and I don't want to buy another of those. XP is getting pretty old and I'm afraid ms is going to stop supporting it so I'm hesitant to get another machine with xp. I was considering win7 but I notice there are some problems...

Re: Jitter and Lag Problem
You're right. I just ran ckdisk - no errors. Defrag says this drive does not need defragmentation. Like I said, I just ran it recently. Also recently I went through a major virus cleanup. Someone else got this comp infected and it was a long ordeal to get it clean - but it is clean now. Every antivi...

Yeah, I'll go with that hope!
But I don't think the program file was corrupt initially because I used it for a considerable period of time.

Re: Jitter and Lag Problem
Well, I certainly would have tried that and if the problem rears its ugly head again, I'll try the config file reset. However, I will not hold out much hope when I try it for the following reason. Just before I did the reinstall I noticed another symptom. Namely, when clicking a drop-down menu (&quo...

Re: Jitter and Lag Problem
Here's my latest: I think Audacity became unstable for who-knows-why. I created a folder under programs titled "AudacitySafe" and moved my Audacity program en masse to that folder. Then, I dl'd and reinstalled Audacity. No more lag. No more jitters. I'll post back if the problem recurs. Oh...

Re: Jitter and Lag Problem
Hi stevethefiddle. Thanks for your feedback! Rate is set to 48K and has been for some time now and has been functioning properly. Nevertheless, I tried it at 44100 and even at 32000 with no noticeable change in performance. Hard drive thoroughly defragged recently. I tried disconnecting internet and...
