Hello Koz and Alatham, Thank you for your interest in this matter. Your suggestion led me to observe closely how Audacity behaved on export to Wav. I tested on various sources of sound effects that all was imported from wav-files, some with stereo tracks and some with only mono. First I got confused...

Portion of silence automatically appended in Wav-file.
After I have adjusted a sound effect in Audacity I want to make a wav-file. I do the Export As Wav... in the File menu, and then I discover that some 3-4 seconds of silence is automatically appended at the end of the wav-file. How do I avoid that extra silence?
