Multi Track Editing
I need to learn how to import stored Audacity audio clips so that each clip can be timed separately on its own track. Can't seem to find the "how" of this in Audacity's material. Al
No stereo
I get only one channel showing on the Audacity meter instead of stereo. My mike feeds an M-Audio and its output (USB) goes to the computer. Thoughts?

Re: Exporting to WMA
You're right. I should have selected WMA instead of WAV. But having done it right, I still can't find the file listed in WMA. What else can I try ?

Exporting to WMA
To export an Audacity file (voice/music) to WMA I did the following:
File/Open/select file
File/Export
File Name: (altered, as Audacity suggests)
Save As Type: Wave (Microsoft) Signed 16 bit PCM
Save
But I can't locate the file In WMA.
Suggestions ? (XP/1.3.11)

Re: All my files are not listed

I just noticed something in the Audacity material that I had misread, dealing with reopening files. So now my problem is solved.....
and thanks for helping.
On downloading 1.3.12, can I be sure all my ".11" stuff will be transferred?

Re: All my files are not listed
What type of files are you trying to open and what happens when you try to open them? ///////////////////////////////////////////////// They are sound files (voice & music/effects). I have no trouble opening those under "File/Recent Files"; it's just that the ones I need to open aren't shown. When I...

All my files are not listed
When I click File/Recent Files not all of my stored files are listed and therefore not all files are retrievable for further editing. Also, when I click File/Open all the files are listed but I can't open any of them. Can someone give me a clue, please.
