Re: Chain import / export
Perfect! I wish that this information was more accessible. I could not find it in the 1st place. The word "portable" is not even there on the download page for the beta.

Re: Chain import / export
Thanks. Which makes me think that a portable version of Audacity beta would be nice, not using the Documents and Settings folder by default on XP, but a folder relative to the install path of Audacity portable.

Chain import / export
I installed Audacity beta on several machines.
What is the way to import/export Chains so that I can re-use a chain built on one PC on another PC?

Re: IPod recordings cannot be imported to Audacity
So why does Audacity not support this file format. Just because it is Apple? It says that ffmpeg is supposed to import this kind of files.

video support
Does audacity support video, eg. transforming a flv video to an ogg video? If not, will it ever support video?

Re: File rename command in a chain.
Thanks for the link. This is too complicated for me, I have no time to program anything beyond simple scripts. I guess that I will have to rename my files by hand or with dedicated utilities.

Re: File rename command in a chain.
Also not to do with Audacity, why do you need to rename your .ogg files as .oga? (just wondering) That's because I want to embed videos and audio files in html5 <audio> and <video> tags in Opera. To make it clear which tag should be used, I prefer to have .oga for audio and .ogv for video, otherwis...
