Audacity Forum

I want to put effects on my songs, but when i go to the Effects tab, all of the available effects are grayed out; I cannot click them. I can read what they all are, but I cant click them! Help! I have Windows 7, and am using the Beta version, but I still should be able to use Effects... HELP PLEASE!...
