I tried 1.3.11, but it wouldn't let me adjust input volume ?? so I returned to 1.3.8 and had no problems. I still get interference, but much less often - I adjust as necessary and am good to go. Thank you for your input. It seems now so simple a solution Cheers!

The interference does hit during the louder parts, now that you mention it. I will pay attention to the peaks and adjust as necessary. I will also give 1.3.11 a try.
