Re: 1.2.6 and two sound cards

On Windows, you may be able to run multiple cheap sound cards in "Krystal Audio Engine" (free) or "Reaper" (low cost). You can then export the recordings as WAV files and import them into Audacity for editing (though you may get a certain amount of drift due to inaccuracies in the clock frequencies...

Re: 1.2.6 and two sound cards

Well I don't run Linux...yet, from what I gathered so far, what I want to do simply can't be done. I glanced at the article, I have been playing with standard thru-hole electronics for over 20 years. Surface mount technology is not anything I want to get into, one reason is my eyes are 20 years olde...

I tried to make it work with just two separate inputs 1 from each card, every time I tried the second track it used the same source as the first, I couldn't get it to do what I wanted. Re: Recording from cassette

Update, I managed to get about 0:50 of audio recorded, the level was ok a couple of real brief clips, nothing to bother anything, but I do have to comment on the quality of the tapes, they are Certron branded. After 0:50 the audio dropped, I stopped the recording process to see if there was any more...

Recording from cassette

I have volunteered to re-record some dialog that was originally, recorded in the Vietnam War era, into a digital format, the quality of what I have heard so far is OK, but there are newer recordings dubbed into the beginning of the tape, I noticed last night when I started the project, that the orig...
