Re: How to auto-maximize audiotrack sub window when loading?

Even after I click "Fit in Window" both scrollars stay alive. Ok, the vertical scrollbar is buggy. But why is there so much empty space AFTER the currently loaded song? See attached snapshot Further bug: Even after a "Fit to window" there is still some unused, useless, confusing grey desktop area. H...

Units of vertical axis -1.0....0.0....1.0? Switch to db?

The vertical axis is currently labelled -1.0.....0.0.....1.0

What is the unit for this?

How can I switch to db for this vertical axis?

Re: How to auto-maximize audiotrack sub window when loading?

>When doing a Fit Vertically, sometimes a vertical scrollbar is shown and sometimes not - it seems to >depend on the size of the window and the number of tracks. This arbitrary behavior is somehow bad and not according to good programming style (sorry). Sliders/Scrollbars should only be shown when t...

Re: How to increase audio volume of selection by 40% ?

Hmm, I don't understand. If I open the dialog you mentioned and set the value to 5db as you suggested then the "OK" button become unclickable/disabled. How can I apply the amplification otherwise? Furthermore you said "Sound doesn't work very well in percent". That means that it is possible at all. ...

Re: How to auto-maximize audiotrack sub window when loading?

Edit...Preferences...Tracks...Automatically fit tracks vertically zoomed - tick this box. Ok, thank you BUT: There is still a horizontal and vertical slider visible. How can I maximze the track window so that NO horizontal and vertical scrollbars are shown ( at least as long I perform no zoom opera...

How to auto-maximize audiotrack sub window when loading?

Assume I drag & drop an *.mp3 (stereo) file onto Audacity 2.0 Then the two audio channels appear in the main sub-window of Audacity BUT they do NOT use the full/maximum possible sub window dimensions. Instead they are drawn in a kind of sub window of the sub window. How can I tell Audacity to atumat...

Re: Cannot drag *.avi video (with MP3 audi track) on v1.3.12

Ok, I revoke my statement about v1.2.6. It does not work in any version completely (it seemed to start loading only). From your comments I understand that if I use/install ffmpeg then Audacity CAN load *.avi video files with MP3 audio tracks. Is this correct? Ok, so I downloaded and extracted ffmpeg...
