I am talking about horizontal AND vertical scrollbars.
I am using Audacity v2.2.2. on 64bit Win7
Have a look at the attached snapshot.
Do you really call this little "extra" space?
You are kidding, right?

How to diable popup "Save project before closing?"
Whenever I loaded an audio tracking and want to exit Audacity (even without having edited or converted something) a prompt appears:
"Save project before closing?"
How can I prevent/suppress this popup (forever)?

Get rid of/Hide the scrollbars when nothing to scroll
As I have to notice Audacity still shows horizontal and vertical scrollbars even when there is nothing to scroll.
is there really no way to hide them in such a scenario?
This is somehow unnecessary and confusing.
Thank you
Peter

Re: Prevent prompt "Save changes before closing"?
MP3 files have to be transcoded into Audacity 32-floating internal format, so yes, you have changed the MP3 by importing it. We warn people never do production in MP3. Koz Ok, but this was not the question. I asked if I can disable this prompt resp. automatically answer it with "NO" when I exit Aud...

Prevent prompt "Save changes before closing"?
After having dragged a MP3 onto Audacity I want to close the whole prgm.
Much to my surprise I got a prompt "Save changes before closing?"
How can I disable this prompt before close?
How can I show it only when I really edit something before?
Peter

Hmm, is there really no way for direct input of a percentage value?
I cannot believe that Audacity is so uncomfortable

Zoom in (and out) into marked interval?
Assume I loaded an *.mp3 song.
Now I mark a certain interval/part from the fuill length.
Can I somehow zoom into this interval?
Can I (later after editing) zoom out the the full song back again?

Decrease volume by x% (with Amplify)?
How can I decrease the general average volume of the currently loaded *.mp3 by x (e.g. 10%) in menu Effect-->Amplify? When I go to menu Effect-->Amplify I can enter only values in dB. To manually convert percentage values into dB is rather uncomfortable. I need a way to enter percentage values. How ...

Showing only ONE Waveform/auto-close previous?
Assume I drag one *.mp3 onto Audacity then a wavform is shown. Fine. Now I drag a second *.mp3 onto Audacity then the existing Waveform is shrinked by 50% so that a second Waveform fits into the window too. How can I tell Audacity to automatically close an existing Waveform when another, new *.mp3 i...
