After reading a couple of similar issues, I became aware using the Stereo Mix picked up all sounds on the pc. This includes the mic. So I disabled the mic, and all is well. Thanks to all those who provided a response to my question.

bipll, I'm sorry but I don't understand. Are you saying thse Stereo Mix records everything it hears? What is DAC? Let me expand. Picking up sound from mic.
When I record something from Internet, Audacity also records input from microphone. I tried unplugging speaker, but then Audacity gives me an error and won't record.
