Audacity Forum

I bought a new desktop and it has windows xp sp3 but I cannot capture streaming audio, the drop down menu doesnt have Stereo mix it only has microphone, Rear Mic and Line In. I have used audacity for years and have never had this problem.

On my computerm, the dropdown menu on the Mixer Tool bar has a item "What U Hear" and on my cousins it doesn't have this item. Why?
