Re: copy selection start/length to clipboard
I don't suppose that you can just have your other application "not maximised" so that you can see Audacity's Selection Toolbar at the bottom? Doesn't save my typing all those numbers! (Did I mention I'm lazy?) Thanks for trying Steve! I've noticed there's a possibility of "scripting" Audacity...

Re: copy selection start/length to clipboard
Nyquist does not know the start time of the selection. For Nyquist the beginning of the selection is always time=zero (regardless of where the selection is in Audacity). Nyquist can tell you the duration of the selection, but on Windows you can only copy from the Debug window and not from a normal ...

Re: copy selection start/length to clipboard
Yeah... I considered that, but I can't see a way to automate it? Maybe I'm just incredibly lazy, but (1) add label, (2) export label to file (incl. name the file each time), (3) delete label track in prep for next (or I keep appending, which would be fine except of course the txt file orders the lab...

I'm looking for a way to copy the current selection start position and selection length to the clipboard for use in another program - I keep having to switch back and forth between apps to check I manually copied over the times right... I see some reference to (a lack of) this mentioned in pending f...

Re: Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift
You're such a star!! I didn't even see the turntable warping script! OK, I've got some learning to do here, but I'll be back before long - Thank you!

Re: Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift
Thanks! (Looked at wiki too, wasn't sure if semitones rely on scale (tempered, etc. - I don't know that stuff at all!) But yes, it is actually something I need a lot, a lot... (I keep getting drunken recordings to fix!) And it needs to be pretty accurate - the speed changes aren't actually audible (...

Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift
I am looking for a way to change the tempo AND pitch (concurrently) on a sliding time scale (or better yet, a time function I specify (i.e. not necessarily linear)). It's for recordings from tape, taken with a wonky tape machine that slowed down and sped up whenever it felt like. Since a time track ...
