well... a qualified yes. if you don't like the sound you could try using eq to fix it up to fit your preference. there are no general answers. mix/master pros have trained their ears to know what to do to improve their recordings. i would say try to increase the mid a little and the highs a tad more...

click on the aup to open it
(Or make a shortcut to audacity on the desktop then drag and drop the aup onto the icon if you have not associated the files in windoze)

i am confused. i still have the exact gap length when i use the label and export multiple. if its important to you then leave them be as is. i find most of them too long , especially from cassettes and need to shorten them to avoid real long pauses between tracks on the cd. and i need to set the lab...

sounds like a movie maker problem --- if you actually delete from the track with audacity the timeline should change but if you change applause to silence then the timeline will stay at the original size.
how did you use audacity with moviemaker??
