enter values from keyboard

photoshop lets you use the mouse to adjust sliders as well as to enter any value from the keyboard. also lets you click on an entry box and move the value by units of 1 using the arrows. i cannot get the playback speed to 1.00 with the mouse. I get a lot of 0.98 1.05 1.02 0.95 or more extreme values...

Re: trouble with data folder/aup files

... If you wish to stay on 1.2 you should really upgrade to 1.2.6 - but that is pretty old now and the developers are no longer fixing bugs in it. In spite of the labelling the 1.3.11 Beta is pretty stable now and 1.3 and on many modern computing platforms is much more stable than the the officiall...

Re: trouble with data folder/aup files

... This all may fall flat if you moved the files and folders from the original computer. Audacity doesn't like that very much -- although the basic show should open if the _data folder and the AUP file are in the same folder or directory. Koz so i found out!! but you can go in and edit the locatio...

Re: Equalising Vinyl LPs

well... a qualified yes. if you don't like the sound you could try using eq to fix it up to fit your preference. there are no general answers. mix/master pros have trained their ears to know what to do to improve their recordings. i would say try to increase the mid a little and the highs a tad more...

Re: Make recoding sound like speakers

maybe. what do you mean by speakers in a train ????? people talking on a train? boombox playing on a train? train making your speakers shake and rumble as it goes by? you really need to tell us what does speakers on a train sound like in your opinion before we can suggest an answer that could help.

Re: Newby and need a nerd!!!

that approach to gaps is what i want. slight amount after and very little before the new one in case someone picks that track number on the cd player it would be odd to have a long pause before playing. So are you saying that if i have those gaps set up that the burner may still add another two seco...

Re: I´ve cut applause on mp3, but not its timeline.....

that is strange. i am not an expert with audacity -- this may be a bug or it may be something that I do not understand --- but can you select the part you do want , and then cut it , paste it into a new track, and then get the timeline you want. if that works then ignore the original track and use t...

Re: trouble with data folder/aup files

click on the aup to open it
(Or make a shortcut to audacity on the desktop then drag and drop the aup onto the icon if you have not associated the files in windoze)
it will bring in the associated data files as an audio track
export as a wav 44100/16

Re: Newby and need a nerd!!!

i am confused. i still have the exact gap length when i use the label and export multiple. if its important to you then leave them be as is. i find most of them too long , especially from cassettes and need to shorten them to avoid real long pauses between tracks on the cd. and i need to set the lab...

Re: I´ve cut applause on mp3, but not its timeline.....

sounds like a movie maker problem --- if you actually delete from the track with audacity the timeline should change but if you change applause to silence then the timeline will stay at the original size.
how did you use audacity with moviemaker??
