dB view would be more useful IMHO - magnify the top part to really see what is happening wrt clipping.

is there a speaker icon in the lower right tray?
if you click it can you see an option that mentions mike so you could mute it or turn the volume way down?

all i heard was low volume. pick the track with ctrlA and then do amplify effect.
