Re: Recording Hiss/White Noise

The mics have a battery powered condenser that switches on and off, but even when all mics are off, the hiss is present. ... I was using a Zoom H2 to record (USB connection) and didn't have this ...
Re: BPM issue

I cant believe, that the H2 as an audio interface would be THAT shitty , and the whole internet wouldn´t care exept for me... cause i didn´t find anything on that topic...

Re: recording setup
Thanks for your input - my feeling is that it should be eliminated, too - I guess I just needed validation. I just looked at the DAK item you mentioned - they show it being connected to the speaker out jack on the computer. Since the unit is an isolation transformer, I assume that it would be just ...

Now let's say the voice performer shows up -- by herself -- and starts singing. Using the clap, we can cancel out the room echoes, right? No ...

Re: Instructions for Multi-Track
It is in most beginner books. I would call it multitracking which can have two senses in English usage. Either simultaneously or sequentially. But you should also find it listed under overdub or some other terms unique to a vendors DAW . You should also read about latency problems as they will impac...

Re: How to make rockfall sound impact?
Sometimes recordings do not sound like real life. That is why foley experts have jobs. Bacon sound frying is crinkling cellophane. Hoofbeats might be half coconut shells in the guys hands. If this is not a trick question you need to tell us more. The sound of falling off a cliff would be nothing. Pe...
