although you might get a partial solution
if you spent a lot of time at doing it
you really need the original recording tracks not a final mix

really not much you can do at this point

next time use a couple of mikes for the instruments

move the people back from their mikes so they are not so loud

which type driver are you using?
if its the asio i do not think audacity will work without your compiling a special version

did any autoupdates occur
microslop loves to reset options and settings
check the system control panel and the driver control panel and be sure they all match up
