how much free *unfragmented* disk space do you ahve?

how did you save it ? what does the tape2usb manual say to do ? i suspect you have some options set wrong can you play it with their software or play it with WMP ? do you have their latest driver? how does audacity get involved with this? doesnt their software record and save the file? did you try t...

and if the content is important better a bad recording than no recording.

... I want him to record the sound that I hear trough the speakers. To adjust the volume in audacity I could use the "ph vol"-butten now. This should be the master button!... thq not the best way but put a mike in front of the speakers lots of electric guitar folks like to record that way...

maybe
search for *.au* in your pc
move all the files back to where they used to be
or
move them all to one folder
edit the aup to point to the new au location

or remove the cream from the coffee

don't think audacity has that plug in but wouldn't a noise gate do what you want. you set the level, and below that nada but silence is the result. usually used for noise blanking but you could use it to remove anything below a set level. dont think any of them have a lead time though. alternative w...
