do we know the rp355 is actually working ?
do we know what is connected into it is working ?
did the rp355 come with software that does record from it ?
so do we know for sure the problem is with audacity and not other things?

definitely the sound card
one channel looks dead
the other one has a huge dc offset problem

i would consider an outboard audio interface card
if after fixing the dc offset via normalise
any other problems are still visible

then changing the sound card driver adjustment
will also move the slider in audacity to match
which is a good way to verify they are working together okay

maybe you all have a virus? twice i got blocked posting to this forum saying cant do that because my ip was blacklisted by spamhaus with a link to spamhaus to resolve the problem dialed in again got new ip address then posted the message if you all are not using spamhaus then is your hosting service ?
