it looks like the 202 is your only choice as long as you insist on win7 *and* dirt cheap *and* audacity *and* external ............. else stick with the onboard chip and software why not creative labs? just because an *old* internal card didn't work with win7 ? or do you have other reasons to avoid ...

you mean all your audio files got erased ? or that skype does not work after you set up audacity to avoid the problems that skype causes ? skype does not play friendly. sort of like win7. they dont like you using real audio. maybe they get jealous. whatever. personally i would get two pcs and never ...

check the tutorial/tips here for how to connect a usb device

if it uses asio it wont work with audacity.
why not use the software that came with the mthing to record
and use audacity to edit?
