Re: Can Izotope's Ozone 3 work with Audacity?
alatham - I downloaded Krystal last night. And, I tried to import (open up) a wav file in it and I can't. Is there a step I'm missing? Might it have anything to do with ASIO?? I only ask this b/c I got an odd message about ASIO as I was downloading. It looks like I can record into Krystal b/c it rec...

Document 02 - Thank you for the feedback and suggestions. I do have the latest drivers installed....how will I know if I'm 'keeping the older firmware' as you suggest? How do I use it? Thx ~ Bradlee

Can Izotope's Ozone 3 work with Audacity?
I have recently ordered Izotopte's Ozone 3 mastering software from Sweetwater - I know it will work with some Sonar software that I've got....but I'm wondering if it will work with Audacity. The Sweetwater guys told me that Ozone will work with Sonar b/c it's a VST plug in. So, will Audacity accept ...

Re: using Presonus Firebox, can't get input 2 to work
I will give this a try....I worry though that the sound might be compromised going in as stereo and then being converted. I'll check it out. I wonder if I could plug into input 1 and input 2 (2 lines....mic'ing a guitar with one and voice with another....), set it to stereo, record, then split as yo...

Re: using Presonus Firebox, can't get input 2 to work
Thank you for getting back to me. I've been extremely frustrated with this. I just talked with Presonus tech support and they said that the Firebox can work only with ASIO Drivers. I read that Audacity isn't compatible with ASIO - is this correct? And, if it is, does that mean that I won't be able t...

using Presonus Firebox, can't get input 2 to work
I am using a Presonus Firebox with Audacity. I can't get it to recognize sounds going into input 2. And, I can't get it to record input 1 and 2 at the same time, making each its own track (i.e. setting up two mics, one on the vocals and the other the guitar, each being its own track). Can someone he...

Re: LATENCY
This is good stuff. I'm going to experiment with the suggestions below tonight. I do have some questions and any ideas will help.... I have a newly built pc (built by a prof computer tech for the purposes of recording....) and I just got a presonus firebox. I would like to record at 44100 and 24 bit...

Re: need help using Presonus Firebox with Audacity
Thank you so much for your help with latency and the rest. I will refer to your e-mail and the link you sent me tonight, and experiment with some different settings and pray that it will work. :) This has been extremely frustrating b/c my songs are written and I'm ready to record and things went so ...

Re: need help using Presonus Firebox with Audacity
You need Audacity v.1.3.4 and then it is in "Edit ->Preferences->Audio I/O" I guess what I meant was - what should I set the latency to....there are two options in the place where you said to go: there is an audio to buffer and a latency correction. With the Firebox, there is a place to set a hardw...
