Suddenly works after windows restart
You discovered a fault in my explanation. The zip archive is of course unzipped to a folder and the folder structure is correct (unpacked by 7z for windows) I've also unpacked the same file as you reffered to in the link above. Now I have restarted Windows and I don't get that error message any more...

[SOLVED] Audacity require to be "installed" - cannot start
Hi all. OS: WIndows XP sp2 Audacity version: Zip file named "audacity-win-unicode-1.3.15-alpha.zip" This evening I made a roll-back on my XP computer to a previously state (earlier this summer). Probably not important, but I mentioned it anyway. When trying to start Audacity.exe, I got the following...

Re: Still not working (october 2011 alpha version)
You did not say what application created the original WAV files. If it is Sound Forge as the metadata says, whoever created the file should look at the Sound Forge settings because it has created files with non-standard metadata that can't be guaranteed to work correctly in all applications. It com...

When exporting, the result is just a crippled wav file :( Does somebody know any programs out there that can (batch) clean up corrupted wav files? Swap Tracks
Hi. I feel to say thanks a lot for a great program :D Swap tracks The feature may exists, but I haven't found it. I cannot find any way to swap two tracks. I know I can drag'n drop a single region into another track. But it would be really nice if I could have a command that moved current track (if ...

Re: Possible bug - Exported wav file corrupt
The only problem with New and Improved compression formats is that all the forum elves all over the earth have to be able to open them on all three computer platforms. That's why MP3 hung around since 1990. MP3 format isn't part of this problem. If you're talking about 7z, then most of todays file ...

Re: Import raw file with multiple wave headers
I think that wouldn't be successfull because, like you said - the first heeader determine the length. As Gale said, if you Import Raw, then the header data will be ignored and the entire file should be imported (with audible and visible clicks where the header data occurs). Have you tried it? Yes. ...
