Hi Steve, I was using the latest stable version but I've now installed the Beta (as, I find, is recommended for Win7) and it works fine. Thanks for your help.

Importing WAV and getting clipping and time distortion

Hello Folks. I've used Audacity for some time but am new to the Forum and would be grateful for some help. I have many audio (WAV) files created by Audacity as commentary for slide shows. They play fine in Windows Media Player etc but if I open or import them in Audacity they clip badly in amplitude...
