Re: Recording a track off CD to embed on a website
Recording CD from mic or line-in will invariably result in quality loss because there will be a digital-to-analog conversion (mic and line-in are analog signals) followed by an analog-to-digital conversion (audio files in a computer is a digital format). So best option is to avoid all this and make ...

Re: Draft: HOWTO convert audio file formats
Would it be useful to expand the reach of this sticky to include all OS's? Or would it be best to create a sticky for each OS? Until recently I was unaware that there are at least three free batch audio format converters for Mac. -- Bill This was intended to be for Linux users only, since software ...

Re: Draft: HOWTO convert audio file formats

Re: Cannot run Audacity as regular user

Sometimes I have to edit the audacity...

Re: Mute/Solo buttons ignored by Mix and Render
Somewhat related to this matter, have you noticed that you can select mute and solo at the same time for the same track? In this case solo supersedes, but I think the most correct would be either: 1) when one button is selected and the other is pressed the first is deselected automatically 2) when n...

Most brands have the manuals for their equipment in pdf format freely available for download from their websites... have you searched memorex website? You could also try to email their customer care service asking for it.

Re: Isolating one word from an Audiobook file
What page said is a bit ambiguous... It could be understood as search the audio file for a word and remove all the occurrances of that word (a bit link doing a find and replace function in a text document).
(I think this topic could me moved to audio processing... do you agree?)
