Re: Flipping stereo channels?

Click on the track control panel (the box on the left end of the track) of one of the tracks, taking care to avoid the sliders (somewhere round about where it says the sample rate is a good place to click), and drag the track up or down so that the track order is reversed. Or, if you want to avoid ...

Re: Microphone is over sensitive

I do use Skype and it did improve once I turned Skype off, but it's still over sensitive. What do you mean by recording properties? Are you referring to my computer, Skype, or Audacity? I'm not quite sure where it is.. Steve meant your computer's sound control panel as stated in: right-clicking ove...

Re: Fading in/fading out an effect

Some effects might have options available to do that... other might not... One thing you can try to do is to duplicate the track and apply the effect to one of the tracks. Then fade out one of the tracks while you fade in the other. I haven't tried this so not sure if it will produce the result you ...

Re: Using chains to insert silence at start and end of file

Was this ever solved? Did you find another solution not using Audacity? Adding this feature to Audacity is quite a major project and will not be happening before Audacity 2.0 comes out. If you are comfortable with command line programs and batch scripting it is possible to accomplish the task using...

Re: Multi-Channel Podcast

Thanks for the response. If I used a different interface (external hardware, plugged in via USB) would audacity allow for multi track recording? Thanks Depends on the hardware and its driver... (see the topic about multi-track recording in my first post for hardware which has been reported to work ...

Re: Can't hear beat while trying to record vocals

What mic do you have and how are you connecting it to the computer? Could it be that you're accidentaly connecting the mic to the headphone output? The mic socket on the computer is usually pink.

What operating system and which audacity version? Desktop PC or laptop?
