Re: audacity turns off audio

Paul you didn't provide any info about your system so it's hard to suggest any ideas... What operating system do you have? Which Audacity version? What's your recording source? How do you have it connected to the computer?

Re: mic recording audio too low

That is odd. You seem to have tried it from all angles so I can't really offer any advice. Then don't. Do I uninstall the beta version of audacity and install 1.2.x ? also does it work in windows 7? Thanks. No, the recommended version for windows 7 is 1.3.12. Audacity 1.2.x is old and known not to ...

Re: Problem Installing "PNG" Effects Plugin in Audacity Beta

PNG is a graphics format, not effects plug-in. So what you probably have is an image file. You can't convert that into an audio effect plug-in...

Re: Record what you hear

What you want is stereo mix, check this topic on the wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recor ... e_computer

Not all soundcards/drivers on windows 7 allow you to do that...

Re: Missing menu bar and contol menus left behind

For menus missing check this topic: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 18&t=48779

For the floating toolbars, just drag them back into the window. Or go to View menu -> Toolbars -> Reset toolbars
