1) The current zoom in shortcut on mac is Cmd-1. The crash log you posted says Audacity 1.3.7 not 1.3.11 or 1.3.12. Are you sure you're running the right version? If I remeber correctly he was about to switch do debian... But I'm assuming he hasn't done it yet... Current audacity version on debian stable is 1.3.12.
