Which Host and Recording Device have you selected in Audacity's Preferences -> Devices ?

Re: Pitch shift crashes audacity

Have you tried this with other mp3 files? Does it happen with all files or just that one?

How much ram and free disk space do you have?

Re: Wrote music CD but can't read it

Has it ever worked before?

Are you sure you selected music cd and not data cd?

If you drag a directory to a new music cd project, in the project window, it will show the track names of the tracks inside that folder... if it shows a directoy then you're probably working with a data cd project...

Re: trouble recording

1.3.13 build for mac is universal binary. I'm a recent mac user, I'm not familiar with the older mac systems. I'll wait for the mac elders to come up with any idea... Re: trouble recording

You don't give any information about your system... Which Audacity version? Which computer and which recording device? Which MacOS-X version? Audacity 1.2 is very old and no longer supported, patched, corrected, or updated. Audacity 1.2 can be unstable on newer computers. Download and install the la...

Re: More than one login

I only have one single (admin) user on my mac, so I never had to mess around with file permissions... I never thought about it, but if I'd run into file permission issues I'd probably change it on the command line yes. But I'm what you can call an unix power user. I was wondering if there was anothe...

Re: More than one login

"5" means the number of links (you can read what all fields are by typing "man ls" and scrolling down to "The Long Format" section). chown changes the owner of the file/dir you can use -R to make it recursive Example: chown -R koz:staff my_dir That will change the owner...

Re: Greek font problem in track names

Audacity 1.3.13 does a lot of things better than 1.2.6. Audacity 1.2 is very old and no longer supported, patched, corrected, or updated. Audacity 1.2 can be unstable on newer computers. Download and install the latest Audacity 1.3 from here... http://audacityteam.org/download/ You can install both ...
