Gale, I haven't "upgraded" ffmpeg libs yet... I'm still using 5.2, which is located in /usr/local/lib/

I think I haven't yet imported/exported anything in the Mac since I installed 1.3.13, but it still detects the ffmpeg libs successfully...

This doesn't apply to the already recorded lecture, but in the future I'd recommend you to change your work as follows: 1) start audacity 2) start recording 3) stop recording 4) export as FLAC (*) 5) close project/audacity without saving a project (*) or WAV or MP3, but I'd prefer FLAC at this point...

In 1.3.13 you can also enable the Devices Toolbar and change the devices from the main window. To do this go to View menu -> Toolbars -> Devices toolbar
