Re: Crash importing files from Unicode paths
I found some and erratic behaviour... I was testing dragging the file from finder (mac's file manager) to an empty audacity project and also right clicking the file in finder and selecting "open with...". Most of the times both operations crash Audacity. But when looking for repeatability I found th...

Re: Crash importing files from Unicode paths
I created a folder named 汉语十日通·练习册_1 and put an mp3 file in there. I tried to open (through File->Open) that mp3 in Audacity 1.3.13-beta and it crashed. Same result in Audacity 1.3.14-alpha-Aug-27. If I import (File->Import->Audio) instead it works fine. No crash and the mp3 is correctly imported in...

Re: Building on OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard
There a few wxMac packages available from fink... As anyone have any luck building audacity svn using one of those? Or do we really need a specially patched version of wxMac? Packages available from fink: wxmac 2.6.4-4 Cross-platform GUI API - mac/carbon version wxmac-shlibs 2.6.4-4 Cross-platform G...

Re: Stopped Recording
You need to select the usb device as the recording device in Preferences -> Devices You should connect the usb cable and turn the turntable on before running audacity so that it is properly detected on startup. Audacity 1.2.6 works fine on Windows XP, but it's a very old version. You may want to giv...

Re: Can not record
You need to select the mic as the recording device in the Preferences -> Devices
You can also enable the devices toolbar for a quicker access to those preferences.

Re: Exporting to the source folder without having to hunt fo
Audacity will open the export dialog in the path to where you last exported a file to.
You posted in the 1.2.x section of the forum... Are you still using such version? In most modern macs (OS-X 10.5 or later) you should be running audacity 1.3.x (being 1.3.13 the latest at this moment).
