Avoida using non-alphanumeric characters in the names. That means no spaces, no accents, no punctuation, no weird characters... Stick to A-Z and 0-9 (and you can also safely use dash '-' and underscore '_').

You need to select "stereo mix" (name can be different in some systems) as the recording device. Not all computers running Windows 7 or Visa have that option available...

I'm assuming you have selected the USB device as the recording device in Preferences -> Devices and you've set it to record in stereo (2 channels). How do you connect the turntable to the usb device? I did some more tests. I didn't find any noticeable difference between 1.3.13-beta and 1.3.14-alpha-Aug-27 I also tried with .ogg and .wav files, but the results are similar to the ones with .mp3 files. I tried to open/import the files from either File->Open, File->Import->Audio or drag'n'drop. I no...

I think notifications on new posts are off by default, so you should either subscribe the thread by click on the bottom link for that or go to the user control panel and change the default behaviour to be to subscribe automatically to threads started by you or where you've posted a reply to. This is getting weirder... Steps: 1) start audacity 2) close any open project window 3) open a new project window 4) drag and drop the mp3 file in the bogus folder into the new project window Result: sometimes is crashes, sometimes it doesn't...
