Re: audacity sometimes won't start when devices change
I'm still knocking my head on the original problem on the first post in this thread... Still getting the pcm error and audacity won't start... Deleting the audacity.cfg file doesn't solve the problem... Just to refresh this is what I get when starting audacity from the command line: $ audacity jack_...

Re: I want to make several short mp3 recordings
What's your recording source? Are you recording from the line-in/mic? Are you ripping cds? Something else?shroud wrote:In there a free recording program that records in .mp3 format?

Re: Testers needed for Mac 1.3.13 Alpha to resolve bug fixes
PS Are you (Bruno) on Linux and Mac or only on Mac? Both. Linux on the desktop and Mac on the laptop. I've been using linux since 1998 or so. Mostly Debian. I'm fairly new to Mac. I bought my laptop 2 years ago, initially to install Linux on it, but I liked MacOS-X so I stuck to it. Still discoveri...

Re: Testers needed for Mac 1.3.13 Alpha to resolve bug fixes
I tried #177 but failed to reproduce it in 1.3.13-alpha-Aug 12 2010 The linking button does not exist in 1.3.12 so I can't be sure if it's the bug that is solved or if it's me who's not reproducing it correctly. Gale if you want me to make sure I'm doing it right please point me to a version which h...

Re: Testers needed for Mac 1.3.13 Alpha to resolve bug fixes
I never used labels before so... yes the shortcut was set to CMD-M
I changed it to another key and I was able to successfully reproduce the bug in 1.3.12-beta.
I then tried the same in 1.3.13-alpha-Aug 12 2010 and it no longer happens.

I tried to reproduce #30 in 1.3.12-beta but I was unable to. I think I'm not doing the correct procedure to reproduce it...
In step 4 it says:

Re: sry about my last post, im actually using the beta
To "save" in other formats, like koz said, is done by "exporting". To copy an audacity project (saved in the audacity format) you have to copy not only the .aup file but also the data folder with the same name (and with a ton of weird names files in it). Also avoid using non-alphanumeric chars in th...
